Photographs & animations, 2013
This series of photographs documents abandoned neighborhoods built on the banks of the Salton Sea; a man-made lake developed by diverting the Colorado river into a natural salt sink. Real estate moguls developed a beach resort for middle class families in the 1950's. By the eighties it was an ecological disaster. These quiet spaces of abandoned domesticity felt like cinematic sets waiting for the story to begin.
