Chele Isaac is a multi-media artist working with video, sound, sculpture and photography. Her installations have been shown locally and nationally in art centers, project galleries and museums. Her short films have been screened in group shows and film festivals in the US and internationally. She earned an MFA from the UW-Madison and maintains a studio and collaborative arts space called MaiaHaus in a renovated former church, in downtown Madison, WI. In the past decade Isaac has been captivated by the possibilities of a 137 acre farm west of Madison in the Driftless region of Wisconsin. The enterprise is evolving and supports an aggressive gardening habit, chickens, bees, goats, dogs, soil and wildlife restoration, and a growing understanding of community across species.
